A new U.S. Executive Order will end the current duty-free threshold for international postal shipments to the USA, effective 29 August 2025. This means that all goods and parcels sent by post from any country worldwide to the USA will be now be subject to customs duties, regardless of value or origin.
Postal operators across the world are actively working together on solutions to meet the new requirements imposed by the USA. However, key details such as how U.S. customs duties will be collected and what data must be submitted to U.S. Customs have yet to be fully defined. Limited technical guidance was only issued on 15 August 2025, leaving little time for full implementation by the deadline imposed. As these critical issues remain to date unresolved, postal services to the USA may face disruptions or delays.
We have therefore, unfortunately, decided on a temporary suspension of shipments to the USA. We will keep you updated as the situation changes.
